This short film-style video was created to shake the viewer to their core. Based on a spoken-word monologue exploring power, obsession, and identity, we crafted an intense, cinematic experience that leans heavily on visual metaphors and immersive sound design. The repetition of the phrase “Am I a bad person?” becomes a psychological pulse that builds tension, self-reflection, and discomfort—drawing viewers into the speaker’s unraveling mind. It’s not just storytelling; it’s confrontation.

We used Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro to design a moody, dynamic sequence filled with flickering lights, abrupt camera pushes, and harsh color shifts. Close-up shots were layered with glitch effects, whispers, echoed voiceovers, heartbeat bass, and layered breathing to create a visceral rhythm. The pacing was erratic by design—syncing aggressive cuts with emotional peaks to mimic spiraling thoughts. Every word was paired with a visual cue or jarring sound to heighten the psychological intensity.

This project was all about emotional impact through technique. It pushed the limits of traditional video editing, blending narrative, sound, and visual distortion to evoke discomfort, curiosity, and power. It’s raw. It’s dark. And it’s a bold example of what happens when storytelling is allowed to be fully unfiltered and emotionally immersive.
